Solving Africa's technology gap, one problem at a time.
We build AI and software for how business actually happens here — offline-first, WhatsApp-native, priced for real margins. For ourselves, and for the companies we work with.

mission
To close Africa’s technology gap, one problem at a time — building AI and software that fit how business actually happens here, not how it happens elsewhere.
vision
A future where African businesses run on tools built for their own reality — and where the next generation of globally relevant technology comes out of Africa, not just into it.
Built by us, used by real businesses.
The first product to come out of the research is already live.
Kheep AI
A smart POS, real-time inventory, and AI-powered insights for Nigerian business owners — with a plain-English AI briefing delivered to WhatsApp every morning.
how we work
We follow the research, not a five-year plan.
Three commitments carry the work forward, wherever the research points next.
01
Research
We go looking in the niche corners other people skip, and follow the research until we actually understand a problem — then build with whatever’s genuinely cutting-edge, not whatever’s trending.
02
Build
The research only matters if it points at something real. We turn it into products aimed at problems Africa has lived with for decades, not the ones that make a good pitch deck.
03
Deploy
Then it has to work here — patchy power, patchy data, trust that’s earned slowly. We deploy with Africa’s reality in mind, not ideal conditions.
The next problem we solve will come from where we look, not where we guess. That's by design.
where the name comes from
Look at almost anything electronic from directly above — a phone, a TV, a laptop, a bank note — and you get a rectangle. It’s the quiet shape underneath modern life. That’s where our name comes from: we build the foundational layer other things stand on.

No spam, no noise — just word when we release something new.
Let’s build something
that matters.
Whether you’ve got a problem worth solving or a product worth building, we’d like to hear about it.
